I was a young child when I first developed my love of nature and the countryside. Looking back to my early childhood the memories are of endless freedom to explore a beautiful and fascinating world. And so, as a young man, my move to London, where I worked as Finance Director with English National Opera, was an abrupt change for a country boy. Years later when I returned to Norfolk I became immersed in the work of Norfolk Wildlife Trust and have acted as a hands-on member of the Trust ever since. Realising the benefits as a child spending time with nature I am keen to share that passion with children today so whilst working with the Norfolk Wildlife Trust I set up the Children and Nature fund and have since made the short film of the same name.
My wildlife filming began many years ago and has been popular with local audiences and generously reviewed by EDP and RSPB. I have recently been working on my original films to edit them to appeal to a new audience. I hope you enjoy viewing the newly edited versions of the films on this site. Some 5 years ago I was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s which has inevitably caused problems in my daily life and in the editing of these films. To anyone who has recently been diagnosed I’d like to say, don’t despair. You may be lucky like me and have a few years before your world is turned upside down.
